Student Clubs and Leadership

In today’s global world, companies and universities are looking for more people who can take initiative and lead others. APIS is devoted to fostering effective student leaders. We currently have a very active Student Representative Council (SRC) at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Students meet regularly with administrators to plan events, propose ideas, and make changes on behalf of voice and interest. These three levels also work together on major events. This allows for more mentoring among the subschools and a chance for all students to be unified with a purpose. Our high school students have even joined other international schools in Korea as a part of leadership symposiums to look at common themes and unique solutions.

Aside from SRC, we also have a very active student club life at APIS. All students in the high school levels are involved in at least one student club. Students have the right to petition, run, or join a club of their choice as long as it meets APIS values. Last year, we had over 30 different student clubs.

Aside from being part of student clubs, we also have many opportunities for students to be involved in our community. We have high school students designing and leading classes in coding and debate for middle school or elementary students. We also have high school and middle school student assistants coaching elementary sports camps or interning in our marketing department. Our National Honor Society also runs tutoring sessions for students who request it. Finally, we also have students being a Big Brother or a Big Sister to students who might need a bit more support from time to time.

We encourage all of our students to be involved and make a positive impact on our community.
